Don Brennan
Don Brennan brings 40 years of experience to the gaming, hospitality and
entertainment industries. He holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and
is a graduate of the prestigious School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
His career has included work in hotels, country clubs, resorts and casinos in the United
States and Mexico.
In 2011, Brennan formed Brennan and Associates, LLC as a consulting and
management entity for Native American economic development and hospitality related ventures.
As of 2013, projects have included a destination ski resort in the west to include a Native American
Casino-entertainment complex and, a refinance of existing debt plus expansion capital for a Native American Tribal casino
project. He is also assisted a start up company, Pavilion Worldwide, LLC, which is developing a unique incasino and social
gaming platform, including online legalized gaming.
In addition to Native American Casino Development, Brennan works with Tribal Governments for non-casino economic
development, including leveraging the value of fishing quotas owned by tribes, and working with a start up venture to partner
with tribes in the application of “bio-mas conversion” technologies to cattle feed products.
For ten years, from 2000 until September 30, 2010, Mr. Brennan was Senior Vice President of Development for Nevada Gold
and Casino, Inc., a publicly traded company on the American Stock Exchange. He was instrumental in the development and
opening of the River Rock Indian Casino in Sonoma County, California. He has been a frequent guest speaker at Native
American Finance and Casino Conferences throughout the country, and lectures at the Conrad Hilton College at the University
of Houston on Native American Gaming.
During this 10-year period, Mr. Brennan gained extensive knowledge of Indian casino development and an vast array of contacts
among tribal council persons. In addition, he worked closely with Isle of Capri Inc. (NYSE) in the acquisition of two casinos in
Black Hawk, Colorado; assisted in the development and acquisition of two racinos in New York State, and was instrumental in
the acquisition of multiple casinos in the state of Washington. He also worked on the initial registration of Nevada Gold and
Casinos the American Stock Exchange in 2001.
From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Brennan founded Independent Private Clubs of America, Inc., (IPCA) a consulting and management
company for prestigious private golf and dining clubs. Among his clients were Bentwater, a master planned golf community on
Lake Conroe, north of Houston, Texas. This distinguished 1500 acre, 3000 home site golf community boasts world-class
amenities including, two 18-hole championship golf courses (designed by Weiskoph/Morrish and Scott Miller), fifty luxurious
villas, and a large marina and yacht club.
From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Brennan resided in Mexico as Director General for ClubCorp International, and its partner, Grupo Situr,
Mexico’s largest resort development company at the time. He successfully headed amenity development and operations of
numerous golf clubs in several of Situr’s master planned mega resorts, including Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa and Playa Del Carmen.
Mr. Brennan presently serves on the advisory board of the Culinary Society of America. For four years, he taught the hospitality
development course at the Conrad Hilton College at the University of Houston. In 1988, he served as President of the Texas
Hotel Association.
