A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, with a major in
hospitality management, Dick has devoted his entire life to the
entertainment and hospitality industries.
Upon his graduating with honors in 1960, Dick worked for the Treadway
Inns of America as a purchasing agent, as an instructor of related
academic courses at Paul Smith’s College of Arts and Science and various positions with
the Walt Disney Company, both at Disneyland in Anaheim, California and at Walt Disney
World in Orlando, Florida.
He served as Vice President of Operations for Church
Street Station for eleven years and then went on to
create, build and operate Little Darlin’s Rock ‘n’ Roll
Palace in Kissimmee, Florida just four miles from the
main entrance to Disney World.
In 1991, Dick moved to Las Vegas where he served as
Director of Operations at Bob Snow’s Main Street Station
Hotel and Casino.
Through his forty years of playing trombone in all
mediums, and during his tenure with the Walt Disney
Company, Church Street Station, and Little Darlin’s, Dick
has gained a wealth of knowledge of the entertainment
and hospitality business.
